Netzaberg, Germany —

Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Europe East District Superintendent Mr. Patrick Martin is pleased to announce the selection of Mrs. Jenaya Parris as principal at Netzaberg Elementary School, located at Netzaberg, Germany.

Mrs. Parris brings nearly three decades of dedicated service to children, families, and the field of education. Her journey began in 1996 in early childhood settings, where she cultivated a deep passion for nurturing young learners. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, she joined the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland, where she quickly emerged as a leader—serving as a Mentor Teacher and later earning a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision.

Her expertise expanded through her work with the Maryland State Department of Education, where she supported early learning programs and coordinated alternative teacher certification pathways. She also played a key role in overseeing the Preschool for All Grant, which provided universal prekindergarten access to low-income families across the state.

In 2015, Mrs. Parris joined the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) as the PK-5 Social Studies Instructional Systems Specialist at Headquarters. Her commitment to working directly with students, educators, and families led her to pursue school-based leadership roles. In 2017, she became Assistant Principal at Patch Elementary School in Germany and later served as Principal in both the Americas and Pacific regions. Her leadership is grounded in a steadfast belief in the power of partnership and authentic collaboration to help children succeed.

Mrs. Parris and her family are thrilled to join the Netzaberg Elementary School community, where she looks forward to leading, learning, and growing alongside the students, staff, and families.
