There are a variety of ways to find out if the command you are transferring to is an NDSP location.
The Plan My Move website helps you access a variety of information about your new location including education, entitlements and benefits, points of contact, checklists, planning tools, and information on employment.
Please check the DoDEA website to see if there is a DoDEA school that serves your child's grade at your new overseas location. Once the website opens, please look to the right of the page, and then click the district where you will be located. If there is a school listed under the district where you will be located or where you choose to live, it is not an NDSP location.
Check the various resources at your receiving command regarding specific educational options. Contact your sponsor, the NDSP Liaison, the School Liaison, or even a colleague for specific school information in your new location.
Our Program Management staff can assist with determining if a duty station is within commuting distance of a DoDEA school or whether it is a NDSP location.
