This issuance change was approved on September 3, 2024. This Issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and implements procedures for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Chemical Hygiene Program (CHP) in Science Laboratories and Classrooms. The purpose of the DoDEA CHP is to ensure all DoDEA school staff and students are protected from the health hazards of the chemicals used in science laboratories and classrooms.

This Issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and implements procedures for processing DoDEA Employee and Dependent Medical Travel (EDMT) requests for required medical treatment.  This Issuance clarifies DoDEA EDMT policy in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).  This Issuance does not address or provide guidance for aeromedical evacuation.

This issuance change was approved on July 27, 2024. This Regulation establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and implements procedures to formalize the DoDEA above-school-level organization and authorizes the publication of a DoDEA organization and Functions Manual. Except as established in Section 2 of this Issuance, DoDEA key leadership responsibilities are established in DoD Directive 1342.20.
