It establishes policy and guidance, assigns responsibilities, and sets procedures for the DoWEA Nursing Mothers Program, to provide a supportive environment for DoWEA employees to continue nursing after returning to work. This supportive environment is conducive to the employee’s commitment to the organization, work productivity, greater cost efficiency, and improved family life. Publication of DoWEA Administrative Instruction 1386.01, Virtual High School Program

It establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and implements procedures for the Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) Virtual High School Program which includes the DoWEA Virtual High School (DVHS) Supplemental Program for DoWEA Secondary Schools, the DVHS Summer School Program, the full-time option for Non-DoW Schools Program (NDSP)-eligible students, the Expanded Eligibility Participation Program (E2P2), and the accelerated Math 6 course for eligible elementary students.  Please contact the Digital and Virtual Learning Division with any questions.

It establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for student rights and responsibilities for students enrolled in DoWEA schools.  The significant changes to this issuance include administrative updates, and inclusion of the new NDAA 2026 legislation on the usage of personal portable electronic mobile device(s) in DoWEA schools. Publication of DoDEA Administrative Instruction 1358.01 School Advisory Committees and Dependents Education Council

It assigns responsibilities and establishes procedures for School Advisory Committees (SACs), and Installation Advisory Committees (IACs) operating in DoDEA schools and the Dependents Education Council (DEC).
