The scope of EAP is multi-faceted and wide ranging, covering such diverse issues as finances, anger management, stress reduction, work-life balance, dealing with change, elder care, substance abuse, retirement, and many others.

EAP is confidential and you are encouraged to utilize it. Your first visit with a counselor, if during working hours, will be regarded as excused absence. There is no requirement to tell your supervisor the nature of your visit or business with EAP, but if utilizing the service during working hours you need prior approval for the absence. Subsequent visits, if during regular work hours, are subject to normal leave procedures.

Brochures and literature are available from the Human Resources Office on the 4th floor. The DoDEA Wellness Coordinator is Cindy Gilbride, she can be reached at (571) 372-5864 or email her at should you need further assistance.
