As part of the DoDEA Wellness Program, the Federal Occupational Health Employee Assistant Program (EAP) is available to you and your immediate family members.
There are two distinct sources available. Both are confidential and do not incur any additional initial costs to you. First, you are covered through the EAP services which are on site at the Mark Center Civilian EAP Office. The EAP office details are:
You also have a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service which provides many of the resources listed above. This service is off site.
The scope of EAP is multi-faceted and wide ranging, covering such diverse issues as finances, anger management, stress reduction, work-life balance, dealing with change, elder care, substance abuse, retirement, and many others.
EAP is confidential and you are encouraged to utilize it. Your first visit with a counselor, if during working hours, will be regarded as excused absence. There is no requirement to tell your supervisor the nature of your visit or business with EAP, but if utilizing the service during working hours you need prior approval for the absence. Subsequent visits, if during regular work hours, are subject to normal leave procedures.
Brochures and literature are available from the Human Resources Office on the 4th floor. The DoDEA Wellness Coordinator is Cindy Gilbride, she can be reached at (571) 372-5864 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org should you need further assistance.
