Trash removal and cleaning are performed between 1 to 5 p.m. You should conceal sensitive documents before custodian personnel arrive to service your space. If you require custodian service on a more immediate basis, send an e-mail to Mark.Center@hq.dodea.edu.
Shredders are not permitted within DoDEA offices at the Mark Center. Instead of shredding, use burn bags for the following document types:
Burn bags can be obtained from room 05F08-03. Return full burn bags to the supply room on the 5th floor. Burn Bags must not exceed 10lbs. There is a scale in the mailroom you may use to be sure you don’t exceed this limit. For more information about burn bags, visit Mark Center page at DoDEA Intranet.
The HVAC unit is scheduled to control the temperature in the space between 72°F and 74°. The Temperature is fixed and should not be adjusted. Please call 372-HELP if your area is excessively cold and or hot depending.
All shared appliances, such as, refrigerators, microwaves, toasters, water coolers, and coffee pots, must be approved through the Mark Center Building Management and must have an approval posted near the appliance or they will be at risk for removal.
Non-shared appliances are devices brought into the agency for personal use that are not approved for use at the Mark Center. These appliances include coffee pots, portable heaters, radios, lamps, clocks, fans, foot warmers, task lights, toasters, and water coolers. They may cause safety/fire hazards and will be removed to the loading dock. The owner has 24 hours to pick them up. If the owner does not remove the appliance within 24 hours, it will be disposed of.
Decorations, displays, pictures, signs, equipment, or artwork cannot be mounted on the walls in public spaces (such as corridors and auditoriums) unless approved by the Mark Center Corridor Committee. Decorations, pictures, signs, equipment, or artwork cannot be mounted or attached to any window.
