Welcome Back!

Welcome! It is hard to believe summer break is quickly coming to an end. We are excited to welcome you all to the start of the 2018-2019 school year! To those new families joining us for the first time this year, we extend a warm welcome to you and invite you into our Bulldog family. Here at Scott Middle you will be part of a wonderful atmosphere of rigorous learning, continuous support, and the nurturing of each student’s social, emotional and physical development. To our returning families, we say welcome back! Thank you for allowing us to serve the needs of your children and for your continued support and partnership as we work together to make Scott Middle School a wonderful place to learn.

This school year, our curriculum for Math and Literacy will continue to adhere to our College and Career Ready Standards. College and Career Ready Standards have been implemented for Social Studies this year which brings a change to our Social Studies course offerings. 6th Grade students will be studying the history and geography of the Eastern Hemisphere, 7th Grade students will be studying early American History up to the Civil War, and 8th Grade will be studying American History from the end of the Civil War to modern times.

Our goal is to achieve DoDEA’s vision of providing excellence in education for every student, every day, everywhere.   This goal defines who we are and what we are deeply committed to as a school community.  Together, with you as our partners, we will succeed!
