Mr. Dwayne Jefferson is a native of Petersburg, Virginia. He is a 1988 graduate of Petersburg High School. Mr. Jefferson received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Longwood University in 1997. He received a Master of Science in Public Administration from Central Michigan University in 2004 and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Virginia State University in 2005.
Mr. Jefferson started working in retail as an Assistant Manager or Wal-Mart Supercenters throughout Virginia from 1996 until 2000. In August 2000, Mr. Jefferson switched careers to become an educator in the Petersburg Public School System (PPSS). While in PPSS, Mr. Jefferson worked as a reading teacher/tutor; a fourth and fifth grade math teacher; and a Title One Math Resource Teacher. After five years with PPSS, Mr. Jefferson took a position as a fifth-grade math teacher with Richmond City Public Schools (RPS). Mr. Jefferson taught fifth grade math for seven years at Woodville Elementary before being promoted to an administrator in August 2012. Mr. Jefferson served in this capacity for two years at Clark Springs Elementary School and Oak Grove-Bellmeade Elementary School in Richmond, VA before being hired as a Math Support Specialist at Yokota West Elementary at Yokota Air Base in August 2014. After working at Yokota West Elementary School for one year, Mr. Jefferson was promoted to assistant principal at John O. Arnn Elementary School at Camp Zama and served in this capacity for two years. In May 2017 he was promoted to principal of the newly opening Iwakuni Elementary School in MCAS- Iwakuni, Japan. In August 2020, he became principal of Iwakuni Middle School.
Mr. Jefferson has a strong passion for working with students of all ages to help develop, guide, and nurture their young minds. He enjoys forming and maintaining positive and cohesive relationships with colleagues, parents, the military community, and the host nation community to foster a school culture that embraces all stakeholders. Mr. Jefferson is excited to be part of the Yokosuka family!
Mr. Bryan English calls Phoenix, Arizona home. Mr. English completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Northern Arizona University in 2002. Mr. English earned a Master of Arts in Education from Arizona State University in 2008. He earned his Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Arizona State in 2013.
Mr. English began his career in education in 2005 at Kachina Elementary in the Peoria Unified School District (PUSD) in Arizona as a paraprofessional working with 4-6th grade students with Communication and Behavior challenges before transitioning to a teaching position. Over the next 10 years Mr. English served on several PUSD campuses teaching middle and high school ELA, including Desert Valley Elementary and Centennial High School. While with PUSD Mr. English served as department and grade level chair and was a member of the curriculum steering committee for high school ELA.
Mr. English joined DoDEA in 2016 at Bahrain Middle High School teaching 6th grade. In his time at Bahrain MHS, Mr. English taught 6-10th grade ELA, Social Studies, and Humanities. His time as a Bahrain Falcon was phenomenal and he continued to serve in leadership roles on campus as ELA Department Lead and CCRS Literacy Coordinator.
Mr. English is excited to continue growing as an educator by joining The Sullivans School team as an Assistant Principal.
Dr. Angela Langilotti is excited to join the staff of The Sullivans. She brings more than 20 years of experience to the position, having served military-connected DoDEA students in Korea, Italy, Bahrain, Japan and the United Kingdom as a classroom teacher and counselor.
Dr. Langilotti earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Alaska Southeast in 1997; a Master of Education in Counseling from St. Johns University in 2000; and a Master of Education in International Education from Framingham State College in 2008. In 2011, Dr. Langilotti attended Capella University and received a master’s degree in Human Services, where her focus was on Social Work. Finally, in 2022, Dr. Langilotti completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership through Capella University.
Dr. Langilotti believes in building strong relationships with students, their families and her colleagues to help support a solid foundation of learning and growth. Dr. Langilotti is excited to be a part of The Sullivans family.
