Bicycles

Some students arrive and depart school on bicycles. These students need to wear safety equipment, take precautions,and use extra care crossing streets when riding their bikes to and from school.

Students are to walk their bicycles on the side walk and not on the grass. Failure to walk their bikes on the school campus will result in the confiscation of their bicycles.

Bicycle Racks

Students must place their bicycles in slots on a school provided bicycle rack. Students are not to leave their bicycles on the ground or park them in front of the exit doors. Students should not take up more than one space for their bicycle. Students are strongly encouraged to lock up their bicycles.

The school is not liable for missing or stolen bicycles. Bicycles not parked appropriately may be confiscated for pickup by student or by parent.

Bus Transportation

      No student who resides within one mile of school is eligible for bus transportation.

  • Students are assigned to buses and bus stops. No change in either bus or stop is permitted without the Transportation Director’s approval. Failure to ride the assigned bus to/from the assigned bus stop may jeopardize the safety of students and my result in disciplinary action. 
  • Bus transportation schedules will be posted at individual schools during opening school open house or will be available from the front office.
  • All transportation schedules and bus stops are determined by the transportation contractor.
  • Students will not be dropped off at other than approved bus stops.

 

SCHOOL BUS INFORMATION

Students must comply with school bus safety procedures.  Students failing to comply with school bus rules may find their bus riding privileges suspended or revoked for the rest of the year.
