Logistics Division

The Logistics Division exists to ensure safe and efficient student transportation, effective asset management, wholesome and nutritious student meal programs, as well as collaborative agreements and partnerships.

About DoDEA Logistics

The Logistics Division is one of the fundamental support divisions within DoDEA. The core function Logistics include providing support for the following programs: Supply Policy and Asset Management Program; School Outfitting and Furniture Replacement Program, Student Transportation Program, Student Meal Program, Support Agreement Program, and much more. Brief explanations of many of these support programs along with contact information are described below.

Supply Policy and Asset Management Program

The Supply Policy and Asset Management Program plans and directs the DoDEA Property Accountability Program by implementing Life Cycle Management policies, procedures and systems designed to efficiently maintain, account for, and dispose of material assets required to support the mission of DoDEA. The program maintains the integrity and accountability of property through compliance with all DoDEA, federal, state, and local/country regulations, safeguarding DoDEA's assets and resources to deter and detect errors, fraud, waste and theft.

Additionally, the team oversees the School Outfitting and Furniture Life Cycle Replacement Program for the agency by ensuring continued consistency, standardization, and quality furniture and equipment is available for the students, families, and community. Student Transportation Program

The Student Transportation Program is dedicated to providing the DoDEA community with safe school bus transportation services that are timely and comfortable. Student Transportation Offices (STO) support the Program, and each STO is staffed by highly trained and capable transportation specialists to manage the student transportation operation in particular Districts. We strive for continuous process improvement in all areas of our operation. Student Meal Program

The Student Meal Program (SMP) follows U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) guidelines and regulations with the purpose to provide wholesome, nutritious meals to children daily. DoDEA schools serve over seven million meals annually in the United States and overseas. DoDEA participates in the National School Lunch Program, a federally subsidized program and students may be eligible to receive free or reduced priced meals. Support Agreement Program

The Support Agreement team supports at DoDEA for the benefit of administrators, teachers, and students, realizing efficiencies through review and negotiations of interservice support agreements, memorandums of understanding, and memorandums of agreement in order to efficiently and effectively resource requirements in support of the mission.

Support Agreement Managers within Logistics are located at Districts, Regions, and HQ to provide support and coordination. They serve as the DoDEA liaison between headquarters' level military services, DoD agencies, or other Federal agencies to develop and implement policy, obtain sufficient resources, facilitate coordination and resolve disagreements between DoDEA and supporting DoD agencies or military services. They also provide data, as needed, for programs involving common, interrelated activities and identify any unique DoDEA support requirements.
