Equal Employment Opportunity Reports
On May 15, 2002, President Bush signed the Notification and Federal Employee Anti-discrimination and Retaliation (No FEAR) Act, which increases federal agency accountability for acts of discrimination or reprisal against employees.
One of the requirements for the No FEAR Act is that federal agencies post on their public web sites certain summary statistical data relating to equal employment opportunity complaints filed against the respective agencies.
The Department of Defense Education Activity's (DoDEA) public web site contains statistical information in accordance with the No FEAR Act. The data is updated on a quarterly basis.
The MD-715 is a Management Directive issued by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) that provides policy guidance to federal agencies. Its main goal is to help these agencies create and maintain effective Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs.
This directive is based on Section 717 of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The MD-715 sets standards for federal agencies to develop and maintain "model EEO programs," with the aim of making the federal government a "model employer."
