This Issuance was approved on January 20, 2025. This Directive-Type Memorandum (DTM) establishes the course requirements to earn a DoDEA high school diploma. This DTM is effective August 1, 2023, applies to incoming freshmen entering DoDEA schools during school year 2023-24, and provides the DoDEA high school graduation requirements referenced in DoDEA Administrative Instruction 1367.01. This DTM will expire four (4) years (48 months) from the effective date. Please contact the Curriculum & Instruction Division with any questions.

Publication of DoDEA AI 5205.02- Vol. 6 Force Protection Program: Standard Response Protocols, Change 1 🔐

This Issuance was approved on January 20, 2025. It is composed of multiple volumes, each containing its own purpose. In accordance with DoD Instruction 2000.12 and Volume 1 of DoD Instruction O-2000.16, this Issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for managing and executing the DoDEA force protection program. This volume establishes the standard response protocols as the emergency procedures used at DoDEA schools, hereafter referred to as “schools” in this Issuance, addresses the Military Department’s adoption of the protocols in accordance with the August 5, 2019, Joint Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Memorandum, and incorporates the standard response protocols and complies with DoD antiterrorism (AT) standards 7, 15, and 20, in accordance with Volume 1 of DoD Instruction O-2000.16. This issuance was approved on January 20, 2025. This Issuance is composed of multiple volumes, each containing its own purpose. In accordance with Volume 1 of Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction O-2000.16, this Issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for managing and executing the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) force protection program. This volume creates the DoDEA force protection assessment using a hybrid approach for risk management and program compliance to achieve DoD antiterrorism (AT) requirements in Volume 1 of DoD Instruction O-2000.16, uses the undesirable event assessment and protection assessments in lieu of vulnerability and threat assessments, and in accordance with DoD Instruction 6055.17, ensures protection assessments use DoDEA-specific benchmarks to identify deficiencies at DoDEA operating locations, such as DoDEA school’s hereafter referred to as “schools” in this Issuance and DoDEA support buildings, hereafter referred to as “support buildings” in this Issuance. This volume developed in partnership and collaboration with the DoDEA Emergency Manager in the DoDEA Operations, Plans, Legislation, and Policy Division, establishes the standard reunification method as the procedure used at DoDEA schools, hereinafter referred to as “schools,” to reunite DoDEA students, hereinafter referred to as “students,” with sponsors, parents, and legal guardians, and uses the standard reunification method to meet DoD antiterrorism (AT) standards in accordance with Volume 1 of DoD Instruction O-2000.16.
