DoWEA is focused on ensuring that we continue to provide options for students to participate in DoWEA-CAS assessments. These options have been reviewed for considerations for test design, purpose, and implementation procedures.

In conjunction with the implementation of the College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS), DoWEA is implementing the DoWEA Balanced Assessment System that includes all of the assessments that are administered system-wide within DoWEA. These include the PSAT, Advanced Placement, NAEP, and College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS) assessments. All assessments included in the DoWEA Balanced Assessment System support student learning, provide information for decision makers concerning instructional programs and services, and inform parents. DoWEA is committed to student achievement and assessments that raise the bar for the students to ensure they are on the path to success.
