Heroes ES

Principal's Corner

Welcome to Heroes Elementary School
Dear Heroes Elementary School Families,

Welcome to Heroes ES! We are very privileged to have the opportunity to work with the children of our military families. We know that working together with our families we can form a partnership for which will ensure your child has a rich and rewarding learning experience. Our teachers and staff members are highly qualified and dedicated to developing a caring and nurturing environment for our children. They have high expectations for our children, and students rise to those expectations. They join the administrative team in the desire to build a strong partnership with you based on two-way communication.

The Heroes ES website will have the Parent/Student handbook which can be found by clicking on this link. The handbook as been written to provide you with useful information about policies and procedures, and educational programs. You will want to carefully review and refer to it throughout the year. Please discuss our behavior expectations with your child/children. We want them to understand the expectations of behavior and to know that you are supportive of our Positive Behavior Support Program. Our goal is for all HES students to be successful! If you have questions, you are always welcome to call the individual at HES that can best serve you.

The safety of our children is paramount at Heroes ES. Here is a link to the Base Order 5500.6 regarding child supervision. Please take time to read it in its entirety and make special note of Enclosure 2 which states that children under I years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18 years old or older) to and from school and to and from the bus stop.

We hope to have every HES student in school each day. Academic success is a partnership between home and school. Regular school attendance is essential for school success. Make attending school and arriving on time a priority. If you child must miss school, please send a note the day your child returns to school indicating the reason for the absence.

Please find time to involve yourself in some of the many activities at Heroes Elementary School. Families are encouraged to actively participate in our school family and we hope that you will volunteer at HES often. We have a wonderful PTO and they always need volunteers to support the different events they sponsor throughout the year.

In closing, we want to thank you for your service and the many sacrifices you make to keep us safe and our country strong. Please feel free to contact me at anytime. My door will always be open.

Yours in Education
