David Lee has been selected as Principal of Vogelweh Elementary School, and is excited to meet the community.
Mr. Lee brings over seventeen years of experience in education to his new posi-tion. Most recently, he served DoDEA as Principal at Ansbach Elementary School. Previously, he was Assistant Principal at CMD. William McCool Elemen-tary/Middle School on the island of Guam. Prior to his employment with DoDEA, Mr. Lee was Principal of Jackson Elementary School in Hillsboro, Oregon, after serving as Assistant Principal/Positive Behavior Support Coach/Math Coach of Kalmiopsis Elementary School in Brookings, Oregon, and ESL Director for the Brookings-Harbor Unified School District. He also taught at multiple elementary levels during his career. He is a strong proponent of STEAM, Positive Behavior Support, student engagement strategies, and actively supporting military families.
Mr. Lee calls Oregon home, but is a proud product of DoDEA Germany, where he spent his elementary years as a student in Pirmasens. He is enjoying his return to DoDEA in Germany now as an educator.
Mr. Lee brings his wife, also an educator, and three children, Jonah(13), No-ah(11), and Liam (3) to Germany. The entire family is looking forward to becom-ing part of the Vogelweh community.
He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Guam and his Master’s Degree from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon.
