The DoDEA Student Information System (DSIS) Family Portal will be unavailable from Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 pm ET until Thursday, July 10 at 2:00 pm ET. Parents and students will not be able to access the system or register students during this time. Registration will resume when the system is reopened on July 10.
Ms. Teresa Moon has a profound love for students and is dedicated to helping teachers and principals grow professionally. She began her career teaching high school mathematics and science in Florida. She relocated to Ohio to continue her teaching career and worked as an instructor for Middle Childhood Education at Kent State University. The Ohio Department of Education employed Ms. Moon as a facilitator for 21st Century Teaching and Learning, where she coached teams of principals and teachers across the state on project-based learning.
Ms. Moon joined the DoDEA team as an Instructional System Specialist for secondary mathematics and science and as the district STEM coordinator. She then became the assistant principal at Joan K. Mendel Elementary School in Japan. She held the position of Principal at both Yokota High School in Japan and Lakenheath High School in England. Ms. Moon worked at DoDEA Headquarters in the Education Directorate as the Specialized Content Program Manager, where she led twelve of DoDEA’s curriculum programs. She also held the position of Professional Practice and Improvement Specialist for the Center of Instructional Leadership in Europe, designing professional learning and coaching principals throughout Europe.
Ms. Moon previously served as the Community Superintendent in Europe West, servicing Allied Forces Northern Europe (AFNORTH), Brussels, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), and Spangdahlem Schools.
Ms. Moon earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Kent State University, and her Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
