Mrs. Netra Harwell
Biography
Mrs. Netra Harwell is a native of Texas. Upon graduation, she joined the United States Air Force; her first assignment was at Alconbury,England.
Mrs. Harwell received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Fort Valley State University, Fort Valley, GA and a Master of Arts in Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. She also completed a Post Master's in Educational Leadership from Thomas A. Edison State College, New Jersey.
Mrs. Harwell's first teaching assignment was with DDESS at Robins Elementary School on Robins Air Force Base, in Warner Robins,Georgia. She also taught third grade for the Houston County School System before moving to Misawa, Japan in 2000; where she worked for the Air Force as a Training and Curriculum Specialist for Misawa's Family Child Care Programs.
Mrs. Harwell returned to the classroom in August 2003 as a third grade teacher at Sollars Elementary School, and then in August 2007 transferred to Matthew C. Perry ES, in Iwakuni, Japan. At Perry ES she served as a first grade teacher, a literacy support specialist, educational technologist, and various other support roles. Her husband, retired from the Air Force after 22 years and they have two adult children.
