Ms. Brenda Alonso is proud to serve as Assistant Principal at Kessler Elementary School, bringing 17 years of experience as an educator, mentor, and instructional leader. Her journey in education has taken her across the globe—from classrooms in Puerto Rico and Japan to schools here in Georgia—each experience deepening her passion for student growth and academic excellence.Â
Ms. Alonso holds advanced degrees in teaching, curriculum and instruction, and educational leadership. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and certified to teach grades K–8.Â
Known for her collaborative spirit and student-first mindset, Ms. Alonso has led initiatives in Project-Based Learning (PBL), STEAM, and data-informed instruction. She has also guided school improvement efforts and facilitated professional development to support teachers in creating engaging, inclusive learning environments.Â
What drives her every day is the belief that every child deserves a safe, supportive, and inspiring place to learn. Whether she’s working with students, supporting teachers, or partnering with families, Ms. Alonso is committed to helping every learner reach their full potential.Â
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new places, working out, reading, and finding creative ways to bring joy and curiosity into the classroom.
