Biography
The Georgia-Alabama Community Superintendent, Dr. Lisa B. Coleman, is pleased to announce Natasha Anderson as the Principal of Faith Middle School in the Southeast District at Fort Benning, Georgia. Mrs. Anderson, originally from Waverly Hall, Georgia, is a proud U.S. Army spouse.Â
Mrs. Natasha Anderson graduated from Fayetteville State University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2008. She advanced her educational career by earning a Master of Arts in Special Education and certification in Reading, Language Arts, and History in 2012 from Columbus State University. Additionally, she furthered her education in 2016 by obtaining a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University. Mrs. Anderson will assume her duties on April 20, 2025.Â
Mrs. Anderson began her educational journey in 2009 with the Muscogee County School District as a special education teacher. Within a few months of her employment, she was appointed as the chair of the special education department and co-chair of the leadership team. In 2012, Mrs. Anderson was named Teacher of the Year and took on the role of middle school Title I Academic Coach. During her time as Academic Coach, she concentrated on supporting teachers and enhancing instruction across all core academic areas. In 2014, Mrs. Anderson continued her employment with Muscogee County School District and transitioned into a district position as the Title 1 School Improvement & Accountability Specialist supporting school improvement efforts for state identified priority schools. In 2015, she was promoted to district Program Manager - Curriculum & Instruction for Special Education focused on increasing student achievement, program development, and behavior intervention. During her role as District Program Manager, she was presented with the Legacy Recipient Award for community involvement and making significant contributions to students and families.Â
Mrs. Anderson moved to Alaska in 2018, working as an Advisory Teacher and Assistant Principal for the Yukon Koyukuk School District. She served as the Alaska Assistant Principal-At-Large for two years. In August 2021, she joined the DoDEA Pacific East team as a Special Education Instructional Specialist and became Assistant Principal for Zama Middle High School in August 2022. Before returning to Georgia, Mrs. Anderson received several honors from the Camp Zama Commanding General, including the US Army Meritorious Civilian Service Medal, Order of Bushido and Commanding General’s Coin for Excellence. In addition, Mrs. Anderson received the Shield of Sparta from the National Infantry Association. In January 2023, she began her role as Assistant Principal at Faith Middle School in Fort Benning, Georgia.Â
Mrs. Anderson is married to LTC Abraham Anderson (U.S. Army), and they have two beautiful daughters, Madison and Morgan. Mrs. Anderson is excited about her new educational chapter as the Principal of Faith Middle School and looks forward to serving the students, parents/guardians, staff, and the community
