Algebra IIA
Algebra II-A is the first semester of Algebra II, a course required for graduation and aligned with the College and Career Ready Standards for Mathematics in High School. Throughout the course, students will build on linear, quadratic, and exponential function work from Algebra I to include polynomial, rational, and radical functions. Students will also build upon their understanding of the real number system to investigate the complex number system. Students will also solve exponential equations and use properties of logarithms, and further formalize and internalize the mathematical modeling process. Through the content, students will build mathematical habits of mind through reasoning, problem-solving, and mathematical modeling. Course Note: Algebra II-B must also be completed for the full Algebra II credit.
