AP English Lit+

The online AP English Literature and Composition + (year-long) course is designed to align with an introductory college-level literary analysis curriculum.  The course engages students in close reading and critical analysis of literature to understand the choices writers make to impact reading for meaning and pleasure.  While students engage in reading they will consider the structure of the work, the style, and themes, as well as the use of symbolism, imagery, figurative language and tone.  Students will interpret and analyze literary works in expository, analytical, and argumentative essays. Course Note: This course satisfies the English Language Arts-11 or -12 (1 credit) graduation requirement. Weighted.
