AP Japanese
The AP Japanese Language and Culture (year-long) course emphasizes communication (understanding and being understood by others) by applying the interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes of communication in real-life situations. To best facilitate the study of language and culture, the course is taught almost exclusively in Japanese. The World Language Program is aligned to the National Standards in Foreign Language Education published by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). The Advanced Placement Program enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies - with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both - while still in high school. This course satisfies the Foreign Language (1 of 2 credits)  graduation requirement. Unweighted
