Health Ed 8 A
The Health Education 8A (nine-week) course encourages eighth grade students to practice health literacy; the capacity to access information, resources and services to maintaining and promoting health. Course concepts are aligned to the national health education standards and include a developmentally appropriate focus on personal and community health, safety and injury prevention, and nutrition and physical activity. Students engage in skills-based instruction to practice interpersonal communication, analyze influence on health decisions, and demonstrate self practices in health promotion and disease. Code should be used for Q2 and Q3 courses.
