Course Description

The Printmaking (year-long) course aligned to DoDEA College and Career Ready Standards Arts, CCRSA (National Common Core Arts Standards, NCAS), is designed to offer students the opportunity to apply the fundamentals of art to various printmaking processes including relief (linoleum and woodcuts), stencil (paper and silkscreen, lithography, intaglio (etching and engraving), and calligraphic printing. The prerequisite for this course is Fundamentals of Art or teacher approval. Students gain knowledge of the materials and equipment that are unique to printmaking.   Course Note: This course satisfies the Fine Arts (1 credit) graduation requirement. Repeatable Course - Subsequent Enrollment Requires More Rigor.
