The DoDEA Student Information System (DSIS) Family Portal will be unavailable from Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 pm ET until Thursday, July 10 at 2:00 pm ET. Parents and students will not be able to access the system or register students during this time. Registration will resume when the system is reopened on July 10.
Sarah Loomis is an Educational Technologist at Kaiserslautern Elementary School. She has been teaching for 21 years and is in her fourth year at KES.
Mrs. Loomis holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Seattle City University. Her professional credentials are in Elementary Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.
Loomis believes that students need to experience learning from a variety of perspectives. She believes that as teachers, it is essential to build problem based learning environments that are engaging, that allow for risk-taking, that are goal oriented and are relevant to real world.
Sarah and her husband enjoy trekking and skiing in the mountains, exploring the cities of Europe and camping during the summer.
