The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) - Americas Mid-Atlantic District proudly announces that Dr. Sharita Morris, a 1st Grade Teacher at Charles Murray Elementary School, has been honored as the Mid-Atlantic District Teacher of the Year.


With 12 years of teaching experience, including 6 with DoDEA, Dr. Morris has distinguished herself through her leadership and commitment to creating an engaging, inclusive learning environment. Her innovative approach to differentiated instruction, highlighted as a “best practice” in the Teacher Leader Café on DoDEA Connects, has inspired students and colleagues.
