The DoDEA Student Information System (DSIS) Family Portal will be unavailable from Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 pm ET until Thursday, July 10 at 2:00 pm ET. Parents and students will not be able to access the system or register students during this time. Registration will resume when the system is reopened on July 10.
Samuel Champlin serves as a lead information technology specialist for the Pacific region. He leads by example, setting the standard for excellent customer support and provides IT expertise to his peers across the DoDEA IT and Customer Support Services teams. He is a natural team player, leader, and fosters a team-oriented work environment.
Champlin participated and lead numerous integrated project teams supporting the DoDEA enterprise infrastructure and the Pacific region. He was instrumental in the successful cloud migration for DoDEA staff, creating automated scripts supporting the project across the globe and affecting over 14,000+ employees. Champlin took the lead on ensuring Pacific region systems comply with cybersecurity configurations providing a safe, yet available, computing environment for students, teachers, and staff.
Champlin has spent numerous hours working around the clock to ensure proper coordination and communication with IT technicians in DoDEA Europe, DoDEA Americas, and DoDEA Headquarters.
Champlin is always the first to raise his hand, volunteer, and put his name out there to participate in projects and initiatives, which are always successful due to his participation. His sustained excellence, commitment, and attentiveness to his customers bring great credit upon himself, DoDEA, and the Department of Defense.
