DoDEA Pacific high schools Advanced Placement Honor Roll recognition

Pacific Region —

Every high school in the DoDEA Pacific region has been named to the College Board’s Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll, earning either gold or platinum distinction.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

The AP Honor Roll awards earned in the Pacific are as follows:

  • Daegu Middle High School: Gold
  • Edgren Middle High School: Platinum
  • EJ King Middle High School: Platinum
  • Guam High School: Gold
  • Humphreys High School: Gold
  • Kadena High School: Platinum
  • Kinnick High School: Platinum
  • Kubasaki High School: Platinum
  • MC Perry High School: Gold
  • Osan Middle High School: Platinum
  • Yokota High School: Platinum
  • Zama Middle High School: Platinum

“This recognition highlights our commitment to ensuring all students are college and career ready,” said Ms. Lois Rapp, Pacific Region Director for Student Excellence. “Not only do our students have access to rigorous curriculum, but also the support and encouragement from staff and parents to pursue challenging AP courses with the opportunity to earn college credit and placement.”

College Board’s Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) enables students to pursue college-level studies—with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both—while still in high school. Through AP courses in 38 subjects, each culminating in a challenging exam, students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an issue—skills that prepare them for college and beyond.
