The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) proudly announces Dr. Dianesia L. Jones, a distinguished mathematics educator and mentor at DoDEA Virtual High School in the Europe Hub, as the recipient of the prestigious Teacher of the Year award, representing the Technology and Innovation division at DoDEA Headquarters.

Dr. Jones, a fervent advocate for virtual education, brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role. With a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Georgia and advanced degrees in Secondary Mathematics Education and Educational Leadership from Augusta State University, she is at the forefront of innovative teaching methodologies. Her doctoral studies in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University further underscore her commitment to academic excellence.

In her tenure at DoDEA Virtual High School, Dr. Jones has demonstrated exceptional leadership and compassion, particularly in the challenging landscape of online education. Embracing the digital realm, she prioritizes establishing meaningful connections with her students, recognizing the importance of personalized support in a virtual setting.
