The DoDEA Student Information System (DSIS) Family Portal will be unavailable from Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 pm ET until Thursday, July 10 at 2:00 pm ET. Parents and students will not be able to access the system or register students during this time. Registration will resume when the system is reopened on July 10.

Mr. Edwin Caballero has been selected as the next assistant principal for Livorno Elementary Middle School

Dr. Jeff Arrington, the Department of Defense Education Activity - Europe South District Superintendent, announces that Mr. Edwin Caballero has been chosen as the new assistant principal for Livorno Elementary Middle School in Italy. “Mr. Caballero is a proven leader that fosters collaborative teaming through strong relational leadership, open communication, and professional learning,” said Arrington.

Caballero began his educational career as a fifth-grade teacher at Fort Worth, TX. He taught middle school and high school in several districts prior to becoming an administrator. During his teaching years, Caballero was active as a Student Council sponsor, National Junior Honor Society sponsor, Campus Improvement Committee member, Varsity golf head coach, and Varsity basketball head coach.

Caballero joined DoDEA in 2018 as the Assistant Principal at Antilles High School at Fort Buchanan in Puerto Rico. He then served at Rota Middle High School as the Assistant Principal.

Caballero received his undergraduate degree from Columbia College and his master’s in educational leadership from the University of Texas. He is currently a Doctoral student at Texas Tech University, pursuing a degree in Educational Leadership.

Caballero has a personal connection with the military, serving in the US Air Force for 20 years prior to becoming an educator. Caballero is married and has two daughters and several grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, golfing, reading, and is looking forward to working with the staff, students, and community of Livorno EMS.
