Misawa, Japan —

Mr. Cobb is incredibly honored to have been chosen to work alongside Mrs. Hann and Mr. Stuart to lead the instructional efforts at Sollars and serve the school’s supportive community of dedicated teachers, involved parents, and diverse learners.

Mr. Cobb started his career in education in 2002 at First Ward Elementary School in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina as a third grade teacher. Over the next seven years, he taught fifth grade at Hornet's Nest Elementary School. While with CMS, Mr. Cobb served as grade-level chair and new teacher mentor.

Mr. Cobb would begin his international teaching, curriculum development, and administration career in 2008 transferring to Seoul, Korea working for the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (SMOE) as the head of the English Department at a local school. He would continue his career in administration and development for the next 11 years working in the United Arab Emirates as the Head of Faculty and in Australia as the Literacy Coordinator and Deputy Principal of K-12 schools.

Mr. Cobb joined DoDEA in 2022 at Sasebo Elementary School teaching third grade. He then continued teaching a combined fourth and fifth grade class and ultimately coteaching a fifth grade class. His time at SES was amazing as he worked as the new teacher mentor and built strong relationships with the staff and students.

Mr. Cobb calls Chesapeake, Va. home. He completed a bachelor's degree in elementary education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and earned a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the American College of Education in 2014. He then earned his
