PAC West —

Dr. Jacob Sherwood, Pacific West District Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Allison Lewis as Instructional Systems Specialist for Science/STEM.

Mrs. Lewis received a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Technology from the University of Virginia; a Master of Science in Athletic Training
from Shenandoah University; and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Philology, Latin Language, from Hollins University.

Mrs. Lewis started her teaching career in 2004. Since joining DoDEA in 2013, she has taught in North Carolina, Germany, Japan, and Guam. While middle school science is her niche,
Lewis has also taught biology, Latin, forensic science, geometry, AP Statistics, earth science, and STEM. Outside of teaching, Lewis held various leadership roles including Teacher Mentor, CSILT Lead, Chemical Hygiene Officer, Grade Level Chair, Team Lead, and Department Chair. As a committee member, Mrs. Lewis was an advocate for students through Challenged Material Review, Technology Committee, Master Scheduling, and Crisis Team.

Mrs. Lewis is married to TSgt Jamaal Lewis (AD) and has three sons. Lewis enjoys activities
such as swimming, CrossFit, and martial arts, but will never turn down a chance to read a
suspenseful novel or game of sudoku.

Mrs. Lewis is looking forward to supporting our military connected students, providing training
and support to our paras, teachers, administrators, and parents across the PacWest District.
