Principal's Corner

Dear Puma Students and Parents,

As we continue to work together to foster a thriving school community, I want to take a moment to highlight the importance of clear and open lines of communication. Strong communication between our school, families, and community helps us ensure that every student receives the support and resources they need to succeed.

We believe in maintaining an open-door policy at our school. Whether you have questions, concerns, or suggestions, we encourage you to reach out to me or any member of our team. Your input is vital, and together, we can ensure that our students are set up for success both in and out of the classroom.

Our school is built on the foundation of high expectations for all Pumas. We believe in every student’s potential and are committed to providing opportunities that challenge them, inspire growth, and help them achieve their goals. With a supportive faculty dedicated to each child’s individual journey, we strive to create a fun learning environment where curiosity is nurtured, and students are excited to explore new ideas. Our teachers are here to guide, encourage, and empower each student to achieve their personal best.

In addition, I’d like to invite you to become more involved by joining our Puma School Advisory Committee (SAC). This committee helps guide our school’s development, and we welcome your perspective as we continue to make decisions that benefit our entire school community.

As we move forward, let us keep our School Motto close to our hearts:

"Soar with Confidence, Leap to Success, Puma Pride!"

Together, let’s continue to soar high, embrace challenges, and leap toward success with pride. Thank you for being an essential part of our Puma community!

I look forward to a successful and fun-filled school year for our students. If you have any ideas, comments, questions, or thoughts you would like to share, please don't hesitate to contact me via telephone or email at Principal.VicenzaMS@dodea.edu.

Fortune favors the prepared mind.

GO PUMAS!

With gratitude,
Ms. T.L. Huewitt

May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month - a time to recognize the importance of communication and to honor the professionals who make it possible for so many students to find their voice. Across the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools, Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) play a vital role in supporting student success, regardless of location, language, or need. Though separated by oceans and time zones, DoDEA SLPs have found a powerful way to stay connected and collaborate through a Microsoft TEAMS group that spans the globe.
