A Message from Dr. Michelle Howard-Brahaney

Dear DoDEA-Europe Students, Families and Staff,
As we step into May, we enter a meaningful time of celebration, reflection, and gratitude. This month is dedicated to honoring the incredible individuals who support our schools and our communities every single day.
May is both Military Appreciation Month and Military Spouse Appreciation Month—a time to recognize the dedication, strength, and sacrifice of our military families. We also take this opportunity to appreciate the many professionals who make a difference in the lives of our students, from our amazing teachers and school nurses to our school lunch heroes and speech-language pathologists. We also pause to celebrate Mother’s Day and recognize the nurturing roles that shape our students both in and out of school.
Graduation is upon our high school seniors, and with it comes a time to reflect on the incredible journey of education—one filled with growth, challenges, and achievements. Whether our students are heading off to college, careers, or service, we are proud of all they’ve accomplished and excited for the road ahead.
Finally, as we approach Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation. It’s a powerful reminder of the values we hold dear and the community we are proud to serve.
As we begin to close out the school year, I want to thank each of you for your continued dedication, care, and commitment. As we close out the school year, I want to thank our staff, students, and families for your dedication and commitment. Every role is essential, and together, we’ve created an environment where academic success can thrive.
