Department of Defense Education Activity

There are a variety of school-sponsored after-school activities (3:30-4:45) offered to the students in 2nd-5th Grades from September through November. These clubs are sponsored not only for our US-Registered Students, but also for AFNORTH's British, Canadian, and German students as well!

Parents are notified of activities and sign-up procedures soon after the start of school. These activities are scheduled throughout the week and activity buses are provided for students residing within the AFNORTH school-bus area. For US students living in Germany buses MAY be available on a space available basis through the DoDEA Bus Office. Students will take the activity bus or be picked up promptly at the end of the activities (4:45).

In the past, club offerings have included: Board games, Indoor Soccer, Soccer, Cheerleading, Maths, Art, Reading, Drama, Choir, Scratch, Hockey, Creative Writing, STEM, Exploring Cultures, Juggling, Strategic Games, and Beginning Band.

In addition, there are a variety of community activities and clubs including Scouts, such as Boy Scouts, Club Scots, Brownies, and Daisy Scouts as well as sports teams.

Europe Student Activities

All students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities whether they be athletic, academic or social in nature. These activities help to shape students and prepare them for the future as part of a well rounded education.

Some of our athletics and activities are Europe based events, which means that there is a culminating area wide championship for athletics that mimics a state championship. Europe Activities are support curriculum and offer area wide available throughout the year that range from art, drama and music to math, language and film/entertainment. More information concerning Europe specific activities can be found under on the  DoDEA Europe, Student Activities page.
