DoDEA Pacific announces Pacific West District Acting Superintendent

Pacific —

Ms. Lois Rapp, DoDEA Pacific Director for Student Excellence, is pleased to appoint Dr. Christopher Marczak as Acting Superintendent of the Pacific West District, effective January 18, 2022. Pacific West Superintendent Dr. Jeff Arrington will be assuming a new role as Europe South District Superintendent.

Dr. Marczak currently serves as the Pacific Chief of Instructional Leadership Development. His extensive professional experience includes serving as Superintendent of Maury County Public Schools in Tennessee, educating future educational leaders as a visiting professor part-time and serving as an assistant superintendent, district lead principal, principal, assistant principal, and teacher.

“It is a privilege to serve the Pacific West District in the capacity of Acting Superintendent,” Dr. Marczak said. “There is great work happening in Pacific West, and I’m looking forward to maintaining the vision until the arrival of the next permanent superintendent.”

Dr. Marczak holds a doctorate in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tenn.; a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, also from Trevecca Nazarene University; and a bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn.
