Mission: Back to School
Learn about a fun and inspiring challenge for high school students and families!

"Mission: Back to School" is a four-week adventure designed to help you prepare, connect, and get excited for the first day of school.
Each week features a new mission with an objective designed to promote academic engagement while building confidence, sparking curiosity, and bringing families together.
Follow your school’s Facebook page and share snapshots of your student completing each weekly mission. Your photo could be featured right here!

Week 1
Operation: Summer Book Club
Your first mission: dive into a great book and spark meaningful conversations. Choose a title that interests you and discuss it with friends or family.

Week 2
Recon: Colleges and Careers
This week, recruits are going on a recon mission into the future. Research three colleges or career paths that catch your eye and create a comparison chart to map out your options. Look into programs, requirements, and even fun facts – it’s all about discovering what fits you best. Pro tip: interview someone in your life about their journey for real-world insight.

Week 3
Operation: TED Talk Time
Recruits, it’s time to take the mic. Your mission is to present your own 5-minute TED-style talk on something you’re passionate about—whether it’s a hobby, a cause, or a big idea. Use visuals or slides to make your message pop, and don’t be afraid to speak from the heart. We know you’ll inspire.

Week 4
Operation: Time Management Toolkit
Success starts with a solid plan. This week, design a personalized weekly planner or time-blocking schedule to help you stay on top of school, activities, and self-care. Think of it as your mission control for the year ahead. Compare strategies with your family and set up a regular check-in to stay on track.
