DoDEA Pacific announces publication of SUN 49
Okinawa, Japan —
DoDEA Pacific is proud to announce the publication of this year’s edition of the SUN. SUN 49 is comprised of creative works from students attending DoDEA Pacific schools in Japan, Korea, Okinawa, and Guam.
The first edition of the SUN was published in April of 1975. The 171 entries printed in the first publication were selected out of 5,000 original submissions from students and staff members. Each successive year the publication was expanded. In 1980, SUN 6 included entries by over 500 individuals. Since 1980, the SUN has continued to publish approximately 500 entries each year and a total of more than 16,000 creative works have been included on its pages.
