New Assistant Principal named at Fort Campbell’s Marshall Elementary School
Peachtree City, GA —
Dr. Youlanda Washington, the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Kentucky Community Superintendent, has selected Ms. Jacqueline Williams as the assistant principal of Marshall Elementary School at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
In 2000, Ms. Williams began her career in education as a high school business teacher with the Little Rock School District (LRSD), where she taught at J.A. Fair and McClellan High Schools. She was named Teacher of the Year at McClellan High School in 2007 to 2008. As a classroom teacher in LRSD, she served in numerous capacities to include a professional learning community team leader, a curriculum trainer, and coordinator for the Arkansas Teachers of Tomorrow program. After leaving Arkansas in 2009, Ms. Williams lived on several military bases as a military spouse. She taught at Salvador H. Sanchez Middle School with the Socorro ISD while living in El Paso, Texas; she taught at Wahiawa Middle School while living in Hawaii, and in that position, she served as a building representative for the Hawaii State Teachers Association.
In 2014, she began working for DoDEA as a substitute teacher in Wiesbaden, Germany. She left Germany in December of 2016 to become an assistant principal at Antilles Middle School at Fort Buchanan in Puerto Rico, where she currently works.
Ms. Williams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a Master’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Business Education and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration both from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Ms. Williams enlisted in the United States Army Reserve after high school and served honorably until her retirement in 2009. She is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Iraqi Freedom, with leadership positions as a platoon sergeant, platoon leader, finance postal officer, and a commander. She retired as a Captain.
A native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She has two children and five grandchildren. In her spare time, Ms. Williams enjoys reading, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She’s excited about the opportunity to serve the Fort Campbell Community.
