Pacific West announces administrator selections for 2020-21 school year

DoDEA Pacific West announces administrator selection for Osan Middle High School principal, as well as names assistant principals at Humphreys Middle School, Daegu Middle High School and Humphreys High School.

Dr. Wanda Conway Bradley

Principal, Osan Middle High School

Dr. Wanda Conway Bradley, originally from the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast, has been in the education field for twenty- five years, nineteen of which have been in administration. She started her career as a paraprofessional and after earning her second degree, she became a teacher at Gorenflo Elementary in Biloxi, Mississippi. Dr. Bradley's administrative career began as assistant principal at North Bay Elementary, Biloxi, MS. After serving as an assistant principal for 3 years. She then became principal of Gaston Point Elementary in Gulfport, MS, where she remained until she joined the Department of Defense Education Activity, Kentucky District in 2009. During Dr. Bradley's tenure at Fort Knox she served as principal of Pierce Elementary and Scott Middle schools. She joined the Korea District's team in 2013 as principal of Casey Elementary/Middle School, then became the principal of Seoul American Middle School. Dr. Bradley joined the Osan team at Osan Elementary for SY 18-19.

In 1990 Dr. Bradley graduated from Tougaloo College with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Accounting. She went on to earn Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has also earned a Specialist and a Doctorate in Psychology and Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi.

It is Dr. Bradley's philosophy that in order for students to experience true learning they have to first believe that they are valued and experience a sense of belonging. Treat everyone with respect and always be firm, fair, and consistent. She strives to promote a safe, positive, authentic and engaging learning environment for every child.

Dr. Bradley is active in various community service and professional organizations. She was selected and participated in DoDEA's Leadership Institute and is a founding fellow of the University of Southern Mississippi's Center for School Leadership. She is the proud parent of two amazing children, Krista and Myles.

Dr. Stacie Lamoureux

Assistant Principal, Humphreys Middle School

Dr. Jeff Arrington, Pacific West District Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Stacie Lamoureux as Assistant Principal of Humphreys Middle School.

Dr. Stacie Lamoureux is a Florida resident with 22 years of experience in education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Student Education from Jacksonville University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from University of North Florida, and a Doctorate of Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University.

Dr. Lamoureux's career in education began as a junior high math teacher in the public school system in northern Florida. She transitioned to the elementary level, and spent the next several years of her career as an instructional math coach. She returned back to the classroom to teach various levels of high school math, and advanced to a district level secondary math curriculum specialist. Prior to her new role as an Assistant Principal she worked as a Professional Development Specialist for the Pacific Center for Instructional Leadership. Throughout her career, she has been involved in curriculum design and implementation, and the development and delivery of professional learning designed to enhance instructional practices in the classroom.

As a strong advocate for meeting the diverse needs of all students, Dr. Lamoureux's focus is supporting teachers in providing excellent instruction to every student. She is extremely excited to join the team at Humphreys Middle School!
 

Ms. Teresa Hahn

Assistant Principal, Humphreys Middle School

Dr. Jeff Arrington, Pacific West District Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Teresa Hahn as the new Assistant Principal of Humphreys Middle School in South Korea.

Ms. Hahn holds a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University and a Master of Education Degree in Teacher Education from Oklahoma University. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art History and Medieval Studies from Rutgers University.
Prior to this assignment, she was the Assistant Principal at Daegu Middle High School since 2014. She also taught AP Art History and Language Arts at Vilseck High School from August 2009 - September 2014; Language Arts, Social Studies and AVID at Osan American Middle/High School from 2006 - 2009; and Social Studies at Ramstein Middle School from 2002-2006. Ms. Hahn joined DoDDs in 2002.

Ms. Hahn is at home in the military community. Her father retired from the Navy after a 30-year career and her husband retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. Ms. Hahn has two children.

Dr. Kyong Beach

Assistant Principal, Daegu Middle High School

Dr. Jeff Arrington, Pacific West District Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Kyong Beach as Assistant Principal of Daegu Middle High School.

Kyong Beach was born and raised in the Republic of South Korea. She attended Korean schools for her primary education. She attended American schools for her secondary and higher education. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Doctorate in Emotional Intelligence and Second Language Learning.

Dr. Beach has taught various grade levels, including the language immersion classes and multiage classes. Dr. Beach has been with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) for over 28 years, most recently as the Assistant Principal at Humphreys West Elementary School.

Ms. Amanda Schwerdt-Johnson

Assistant Principal, Humphreys High School

Dr. Jeff Arrington, Pacific West District Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Amanda Schwerdt- Johnson as Assistant Principal of Humphreys High School.

Ms. Amanda Schwerdt-Johnson began her career in education as a Teach for America corps member teaching middle school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She joined DoDEA in August 2004 as a Drama and English Language Arts teacher at Sigonella Middle and High School in Sicily, Italy. She later transferred to the United Kingdom, and taught at Menwith Hill Unit School and Lakenheath Middle School.

Prior to being selected as Assistant Principal of Humphreys High School, Ms. Schwerdt-Johnson served as the Assistant Principal at Seoul American High School and Humphreys Middle School, as well as a Secondary English Language Arts Instructional Systems Specialist for the Pacific West District Office in South Korea.

Ms. Schwerdt-Johnson received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, with a minor in Literature, from Loyola Marymount University. She received a Master of Arts in Human Communication from California State University, Chico, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from University of Cincinnati.

Ms. Schwerdt-Johnson is deeply committed to excellence in academics, and believes strongly that a literacy foundation is essential to student success. She values high expectations for all stakeholders, and promotes a school environment that is safe, positive, and professional. She is very excited to become a Humphreys High School Blackhawk!
