Comprehensive Assessment System
The DoDEA Alternate Assessment assesses Alternate Content Standards (ACS) that are aligned to the DoDEA College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS). This assessment is designed to build a bridge from the content in the CCRS to academic expectations for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities.
For school year (SY) 2022–2023, DoDEA will administer the online DoDEA Alternate Assessment for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities in grades 3–8 and 11 enrolled in English-language arts (ELA)/Literacy and grades 3–8, and 11 enrolled in mathematics. Student results from the DoDEA Alternate Assessments will be reported on an Individual Student Report (ISR). The ISR describes an individual student’s performance in terms of overall results, performance level, and scale score for both content areas. Results are reported according to four performance levels that delineate the knowledge, skills, and abilities students can demonstrate based on their grade level or course standards.
