Iwakuni, Japan —

DoDEA Pacific East District Superintendent Dr. Jackie Ferguson is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Kevin Anglim as principal at M.C. Perry High School, located at MCAS Iwakuni.

With nearly two decades of dedicated service within the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), Mr. Kevin J. Anglim brings a wealth of experience to his role. Previously, he served as the assistant principal at M.C. Perry High School.

His educational journey began in New York City, where he taught art and literacy in the South Bronx and East Harlem. He later joined DoDEA, teaching in Germany and South Korea before moving to Japan.

Mr. Anglim attended elementary school and middle school in South America during his childhood while his father worked overseas. After completing high school in New Jersey, he moved to New York City. Mr. Anglim earned his bachelor’s degree from The School of Visual Arts and also holds a master’s degree from the City College of New York and an additional master’s degree in educational leadership from Acacia University.

Beyond administrative duties, Mr. Anglim actively engages with students, teachers, and staff to foster a thriving educational environment. He is committed to providing academic support, empowering students, and assisting teachers in their pursuit of excellence. Under his guidance, M.C. Perry High School continues to thrive as a center of learning and growth. As principal, Mr. Anglim eagerly anticipates the next chapter of his educational journey. Alongside his family, he looks forward to exploring new horizons, pursuing hobbies like running, photography, and painting, and cheering on the M.C. Perry Samurai—both in academics and athletics.
