Ramstein, Germany —

Dr. Louis D’Angelo, Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Europe Central District superintendent, announced the selection of Ms. Leah Zamor as the new principal of Ramstein High School.

“Leah has a proven track record of leadership and dedication within the Kaiserslautern Military Community,” D’Angelo said. “Her continued effort and commitment to serving military-connected students make her the ideal choice to lead Ramstein High School forward.”

Zamor brings more than 20 years of educational experience. She began her career teaching math and science at Northridge Middle School in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a master’s degree from California State University, Northridge.

In 2003, Zamor joined DoDEA, teaching at Seoul American High School and Mannheim High School before moving into administrative roles. She served as principal at Baumholder Middle High School for eight years and has worked closely with community leaders from the U.S. Air Force in Europe and the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz.

Zamor emphasizes student-centered success through multi-tiered instruction, shared leadership, and a transformative school culture. She is committed to educating the whole child and promoting student agency, innovation, and global readiness.

She looks forward to engaging with the Ramstein High School community in her new role.

Zamor is married to Chris Zamor, an educator at Ramstein Middle School. They have two sons who graduated from Kaiserslautern High School. In her free time, Zamor enjoys running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
