Mr. Chris Beane has spent the past 25 years cultivating student success as an educator with the Department of Defense Education Activity. Mr. Beane has had the honor of being the principal of Naples Elementary School since 2013. During his tenure at Naples Elementary School, Mr. Beane has consistently guided the school through multiple successful accreditations, culminating in being recognized by the Department of Education during the school year 2022-2023 as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Mr. Beane has showcased his unrelenting commitment to building leaders throughout the school, utilizing data to drive instruction, and cultivating a positive learning environment for students, teachers, and parents.

Before Mr. Beane’s assignment in Naples, he served as the Vicenza Elementary School principal from 2009-2012 and the Vicenza Middle/High School assistant principal from 2006-2009. During Mr. Beane’s time, he oversaw the new Vicenza Middle and Elementary School building, supporting our military-connected families through multiple deployments and increased access to Advanced Placement courses for students resulting in improved AP scores at the high school.
Before Mr. Beane’s assignments in Vicenza, he taught 1st Grade Italian Immersion, 4th Grade Italian Immersion, and 6th Grade social studies. Mr. Beane completed his student-teaching in 1999 at the Gaeta American School in the Mediterranean District, propelling him to launch his teaching career with DoDEA.

Mr. Beane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from THE Ohio State University, a Graduate Teaching Certificate from Rider University, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton. He is a passionate educator who is deeply committed to providing an optimal educational experience for students.

Mr. Beane understands the importance of focusing on each student’s individual needs. He firmly believes that education encompasses not only academics but also social-emotional development. By implementing student-centered programs, he will create opportunities for student empowerment, character building, and personal growth. Students under his guidance can expect an environment that fosters self-discovery, nurtures talents, and prepares them for a future filled with success.

On a personal level, Mr. Beane enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and playing Padel with his wife, Natacha, and his three children, ages 15-21. Mr. Beane believes he learned the value and importance of education early on in life through his parents, who were educators.
