DoDEA Launches Seal of Biliteracy to Prepare Students for a Global World
Starting in the 2025-26 school year, the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) will launch the Seal of Biliteracy, honoring high school graduates who excel in English and another language like Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Turkish and American Sign Language. This prestigious award celebrates the language skills of military-connected students, boosting their cognitive abilities, college prospects, and career opportunities in fields like diplomacy and national security.
